The Sazerac Classic Drink Contains Alcohol Cold Drink

1 Sugar cube
2 dashes Peychaud's Bitters
2 oz. Bourbon, rye, or blended whiskey
- Angostura Bitters (optional)
- Herbsaint or Pernod
1 Lemon Peel

Glass type: Old Fashioned

Directions: Chill tow old fashioned glasses with crushed ice. Remove ice from one glass and in it place a sugar cuibe with a little water. Add bitters and crush sugar cube with a muddler until all sugar is dissolved. Add whiskey and ice cubes, stiring well. Empty 2nd glass, add a generous dash of Herbsaint and coat inside of glass thoroughly. Pour excess our and pour in mixture from first glass. Twist lemon peel over drink.
